News : Nelly Furtado - Man Eater (DJ Cruze Funkfinders mix)

I’ve had quite a few emails asking me where you can download my remix of Nelly Furtado’s “Man Eater”. It’s great that you all love the funky house mix so much but unfortunately it’s not available in the shops. The version I played on podcast episode #16 came straight from my studio and wasn’t even finished! I’ll hopefully be finishing it off and mastering at the weekend so I’ll have promotional versions available for people in the next few days. Obviously I won’t be charging for it as I don’t own the copyright* on Nelly’s vocals. I’ll let you know when I’m done with it and then you can get a copy. But only if you make sure you that pass it on and spread and share the DJ Cruze funky house vibe!

    great remix, i hope there won’t be any copyright related problems as you mentioned in the podcast.
    by the way: doesn’t it cause such problems by playing all those great songs?! just wondering…

    and i can’t mention enough how much i like your show, i listen to it all the time! :)

    Hey Jochen. I hope there are no problems! Podcasting is a very grey area as I don’t own the copyright for the songs. But I am playing them for promotional purposes and talking over the tunes so they can’t be ripped. I buy good music and I want everyone else to buy it too. I’m glad you’re liking the remix. It’s almost finished and One Phat DJ will play the exclusive on his show.

    I wouldn’t have thought they’d have a problem with you using the vocals….in fact the label should be offering you a deal to release it officially!!!
