Tom Belton - funky house producer

Ever heard of this guy – Tom Belton? Well if you haven’t already then you’ll be hearing a lot more of this funky house producer in the next year I’m sure. Tom is responsible for some of the best funky and soulful house remixes of the past few months and is a star in the making.

Tom is a South London based house genius who is now remixing some of the biggest artists in the world. His remix of “Runaway” by Jamiroquai is massive on my floors at the moment. Check it out on the last podcast for some funky house vibes. Suprisingly, he has been making music and DJ’ing for the past 10 years and all of that at the age of 24. He has also engineered some of the biggest acts in the world such as Mary J Blige, The Roots and Take That in some of London’s major recording studios.

Tom has also made time to polish his creative skills independently, crafting a number of underground hits over the past four years demonstrating his soulful yet pumping big room sound to maximum effect and making waves amongst those in the know. There’s also a massive buzz around Tom thanks to his recent remixes of Coldcut’s “Walk A Mile In My Shoes”, Zentribe’s “I Just Love” on Stonebridge’s Stoneyboy label, Kraak & Smaak’s “No Sun In The Sky” on Jalapeno Records and his recent remixes of Jamiroquai’s “Cosmic Girl” and “Runaway”. Tom is also half of Dascyllus, a breaks duo signed to Sinister Records, with singles championed by the likes of Annie Nightingale, Hybrid and Plump DJs.

Expect even more soul-tinged remixes and productions in the coming months. He’s one to watch out for!
