Podcasts : Episode #29 - Battle Royal

And finally the podcast appeared! Amazing!
Here is episode #29 of the DJ Cruze podcast and it has been a long time coming, I know, I know! I’ve been whizzing down the mountain in sunny (and snowy) Sainte Foy in the French Alps. I then came home and took my lovely wife Clare off to Prague for a few days of sight seeing, beer drinking (…that was mainly me!) and good, cheap food eating fun! So now that I’m back I’ve had to catch up and find some time to get the DJ Cruze podcast sorted. So here it is.
There are loads of great tunes on this episdode. The new D Ramirez remix of the old Brand New Heavies vocalist N’Dea Davenport kicks off the show and it rocks! A nice chunky bassline leads us into the funky sounds of up and coming producer Jay Cox followed by a cheeky bootleg from a great Italian producer, Alex Gaudino. Then there’s my big tune of the moment from Does It Offend You, Yeah? who are the biggest thing to hit dirty house music since Daft Punk. I’m looking forward to hearing their album when it comes out after hearing Battle Royale! When then head through loads more funky house and dirty electro until we hit one of my favourite old tunes - the Perfecto mix of “Mr Wendall” by Arrested Development. Talk about a massive tune! I hope all of these hot tunes make up for the lack of a podcast over the past month.
Don’t forget to rate this podcast so I know what you like and don’t like. Run your mouse over the stars underneath the title of this podcast and it allows you to rate it. If you like it then give me a big phat 10. If it’s terrible then give it a 1. Go on… you know you want to vote!
As always I love to hear your feed back on the show. Contact me using the form provided and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. I’m always looking for new tunes to play on the show so if you’re an up and coming producer who’s looking for some exposure then let me know and if I like the tunes, I’ll play them.

Perfect! I’ve got a commute to a meeting this afternoon so I’ll whack this on the SiPod to get me in a good mood for what is inevitably going to be a boring and horrid meeting.
I’m glad I’m not the only one affected by the Dreamhost Crash. Naughty boys. Surely we’re owed a bit more bandwidth for the troubles.

Keep up the philthy jagged saw-toothed basslines!
2:42 pm on March 1st, 2007
O Cruze this mix rocks hard. Yes s-hir these tunes will serve as the fire behind my very aggressive gaming lifestyle. Please keep this up or as we’d say ’round here in the Cinci area, “Go Hard or Go Home!” its agreed u go hard and ur mixes are wicked.
DJ Cruze rocks tha house! So other house podcasts need to, “lay down or stay down.” Its the way of the Land.

Im a real fan mate, but this podcast just didnt cut it! Well guess you cant win them all.
9:44 am on March 23rd, 2007
No problems Alex.
Some you win, some you lose and I appreciate the feedback.
If we all liked the same music then the world would be a very dull place.
Can you tell me what you didn’t like about it so that I know?
I appreciate constructive criticism.

Great music DJCruze
Can somebody tell my what’s the name of last song (Dirty house…)?
8:03 pm on July 1st, 2007
Sosna - The tracklisting is at the top of this page.
The last dirty house track was “The Bump (Original Mix)” by Hook n Sling & Kid Kenobi on CR2 Records. The very last record was “Mr Wendal (Perfecto Mix)” by Arrested Development on Cooltempo but I assume that’s not the track you mean.

I started listening your podcasts 1 week ago and I’m in love…
Earlier I’ve listened Techno and Trance but now House & Club and that make the hairs on my arm stand up.
Greetings from Poland
10:38 am on July 2nd, 2007
No problems. I’m glad you like the shows. Download the old ones from this website if you haven’t got them in the podcast RSS feed (as it only has the latest 10 shows).
I’m not a big fan of trance but I don’t mind some techno from time to time. I’m glad you’ve found house music and are enjoying the tunes.
5:13 pm on September 20th, 2007
haha… Love Mr Wendal!
It just kicks me back to the 90’s
