DJ Cruze Podcast Episode #40 - Afrojacker

Another podcast so quickly after the last one? Yeah, I don’t believe it either.

Here’s another slice of quality house tunes for your MP3 player from the DJ Cruze studios. There are some massive tracks on this week’s show. I’m loving the cheeky bootleg remix of Eric Prydz “Pjanoo” done by one of my favourite Swedish producers Patrick L. Sinden and Herve go crazy with the drums and horns in their new guise as Machines Don’t Care and their wicked track “Afrojacker”. Pump that one up loud. And what can I say about the Cruze Classic that is “Ultra Flava” by Farley and Heller? AWESOME! That’s what!

Enjoy the show and get in touch if you want a shout out. And don’t forget to comment on the show below and tell me what you think.

  13. Yayyy!!! Another quality podcast.. super!

  14. @Florian – I’ve heard from a couple of people about some more Germany gigs but nothing confirmed yet. I will let you know as soon as I know!

    @John – Thanks mate!

  15. I don’t know what everyone sees in that Pjanoo record, I honestly don’t. Don’t get me wrong – I do like to hear a piano in a house track. Problem is, I’ve heard this tune so many times now that I just end up switching it off when it comes on. Still, Patrick L’s bootleg is one of the better ones – some of the ones doing the rounds on the Internet are just horrific!

Otherwise, an excellent podcast full of tunes that I really must buy!

  16. I know that it’s been played a lot but I really liked the Patrick L bootleg mix. And I personally love pianos in tunes but then again I come from the early 90s piano house era!

  17. Same here – couldn’t get enough of piano stuff in the early 90’s, then Roberto Milani went and made it all mainstreamy and sorta tainted it by default. ;o)

Pjanoo is a little bit on the bland side for me to love it, but like the man says – a piano in my tunes brings a smile to my face.

  18. There’s still a place for piano house although I will agree that the M1 Piano sound got overplayed in the mid 90s.

  19. Yesssssssss im 22 again … Pete and Tom 🙂
Soundtrack of many sleepless nights – Das Unbekannte Tier Stuttgart
Im waitin for a new Mix –
even if it may be hard to do it better, or what is the reason for the “half year” break sice November …?

    Greetz from Stuttgart

  20. I’ve just been busy with my son and work Dominik. I’ll try and get a new mix done as soon as possible!

  21. Im shure he will be a good one. 😉

  22. Hopefully it will be.

  23. The Ting Tings – Shut Up And Let Me Go (Tom Neville’s Keep It Quiet Dub) (Funkfinders cut-up edit)

Loved that song – absolutly amazing. I guess Tom Neville’s gone ona ting ting terror for a couple bits, as i noticed he did “that’s not my name” as well.

Keep it up, glad to have found your podcast.

  24. Yeah, Tom Neville’s done some good mixes. I’m never sure whether I like the vocal versions or not – hence the cut-up edit I did.

Glad you’ve found the podcasts. Stay subscribed and enjoy the tunes!

  25. Cool!

  26. Glad you like it Svetlana.
