News : School Jazz Band Covers Daft Punk Harder Better Faster Stronger
I came across this classic cover video when I was doing my evening trawl through some YouTube videos. Pleasant Hill High School’s Solar Jazz Band played a cover of Daft Punk’s “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” as part of their feature performance at their annual Pleasant Hill Jazz Festival and I have to say – it’s amazing! The drummer needs to be a bit tighter but they way they’ve arranged an electronic song into a jazz track is great.
Check it out:
It’s funny how you find the most random things sometimes!

Agreed and I’d buy their album if they did covers of dance music classics!

What an awesome cover! That keyboard player looks a bit a geek though.

Hey DJ Cruze! Thanks for the link!
I’m the guy that arranged that/posted it on youtube…thanks all for the nice feedback. Even the guy that said I look like a geek LOL — that’s probably the least geeky I’ve ever looked, with spiked punky weird hair.
Anyways, we covered Digital Love later in the year! It was pretty sweet! My keytar solo at the end got a little drowned out so I’ve been hesitating to put it on Youtube, but when I go home for Winter Break I think I’ll do that and send it to you:)

Thanks Charlie and great work on the cover versions!
I’ve just had a listen to Digital Love and it sounds awesome.
You guys should get an album of dance music covers recorded!
