Mixes : DJ Cruze Live Mix – Schmidt’s – March 2009

I finally got round to uploading the live mix that a good friend of mine recorded at the Vibration Revival party I DJed at in Germany. Apologies that it took so long to upload. I didn’t do a full set on my own on that night so instead you’ve got 2 hours and 25 minutes of back-to-back old school house tunes from myself, Alex Harmony and Luke 45. I’d like to point out that I’m not responsible for some of the dodgy mixes (honestly!) and neither was I responsible for putting 2 Bad Mice’s “Bombscare” on twice. Luke 45 obviously wasn’t listening to me when I put it on! And who put on that awful “I’m Raving I’m Raving”? Was it Luke or Alex?! 
Enjoy and a big thanks to Pino for recording it. And Kai and Florian – you can both stop hassling me for it now!

wow, since I’m new to house music, I think there are lots of tunes in this set waiting for me to be explored… exams haven’t started yet, so, I’m just gonna spare some extra time for this

@Alex – So it was YOU who put on Bombscare for the second time! Haha! Luke is always too drunk to know what records are being played!
@Architect_kz – A lot of these tracks are quite old so you might not be able to find them online but I’ll try and make a tracklisting for the set (….when I get some free time!)

Is this mix going on your podcaststream as bonus episode as well? I guess that all your subscribers want to hear it, but not all of them visit your site often. And I just want it neatly in my DJ Cruze folder

@Bas – No – mainly because it’s not just me in the mix. If it was a live set of me playing on my own then I probably would have done. Anyone can grab it from the download link or subscribe to the mixes RSS feed.

Yes, it’s an old school night but you can still play good, old tunes.
I think it’s a terrible track and it definitely wasn’t me that played it!

I’ve just moved house now so once the decks and records are set up again I’m going to try and make more old school Vibration mixes for you all.

Marc, do you know if LIQUID (artist that produced “sweet harmony” and more) is still performing? Would be great to see him live again, his voice is just awesome. Loved his performance @Vibration in 1995.

@Stefan – Yes, the 2nd Cruze is due at the end of September but we’d planned to move anyway!
@Frank – I remember DJing when Liquid were doing the live PA in 1995! A great gig! Looks like he’s still around but not sure if he’s doing any live shows. Check him out on myspace: Liquid for more info.

If this really comes trues, Mr Cruze playing old skool house classics and LIQUID doing a live PA, this will be HUGE!

It would be great but I also don’t think the promoter will pay for Liquid at the price that he’ll want for a PA!
Next Vibration Revival party will probably be at the end of November so watch this space for more details once I’ve finalised it.

I’m not sure how much he charges Stefan but I would imagine it’s more than the promoter wants to pay (…judging from what he wants to pay me!!)

…it s not all about the money. YOu also have to take into account the other stuff the promotor pays, for instance: flights, the accomodation (penthouse with jacuzzi), the girls, strech limo, party accelerators, loads of Jaegermeister bottles, etc.
